April is a great month to plant a tree, maybe its a small fir sapling or a fruit tree you have always wanted to add to your garden or yard. I ordered mine from Planting Justice (a 501c3 empowering people impacted by mass incarceration and other social inequities with the skills and resources to cultivate food sovereignty, economic justice, and community healing). Take a little extra time to think and appreciate the remarkable natural world around us, accessible to us all the time. If planting a tree is a heavy lift, then maybe it is about saving your last egg carton, grabbing some dirt and a small container of seeds and plant a flower or vegetable and place it on your windowsill. Being close to something green and growing will help ground us in the importance of the natural world and our role to keep it safe and clean for generations to come honoring Earth Day🌎 We asked you last month and it is worth repeating, do you have a budget📒 in place for this year? Have you thought about your bank, financial planner, investments and whether they align with your values? In honor of Earth Day we are repeating our most recent collection of providers for all that is Outside+🌲. Like last month think about those services and ask yourself, are any of them women, black, indigenous or LGBTQ owned. Are they socially responsible? Do the owners and the company values align with yours? Stay tuned for next month. We will be including socially responsible providers of products and services tailored to you in our About You+🙂 collection. PERSONAL VALUES ALIGNMENT WORK
